A Restaurant Designed as a Destination, Not Just a Venue

Calypso Yacht Restaurant in Pondok Indah Kapuk was conceived as more than a dining space.
It was designed as a
destination-driven hospitality asset—where spatial experience, exclusivity, and brand storytelling converge to create premium customer value.

In competitive F&B districts like PIK, success requires more than good food.
It demands a
distinctive concept that elevates perception and drives repeat visits.

The Business & Lifestyle Objective

The client required a concept that could:

  • Position the brand as a premium dining destination

  • Deliver a unique thematic experience (yacht-inspired luxury)

  • Attract high-spending clientele and group bookings

  • Maximize space efficiency without compromising exclusivity

  • Create a space that is visually iconic and commercially scalable

Material selection was critical to communicate luxury, durability, and sophistication:

  • Marble surfaces → premium perception and tactile richness

  • Wood paneling → warmth and nautical reference

  • Glass elements → openness and visual lightness

  • Metal accents → refined detailing and contrast

Each material contributes to a high-end hospitality experience while maintaining operational practicality.

Spatial Planning & Experience Design

The layout is designed to enhance both guest comfort and operational efficiency:

  • Central dining area with strong visual anchor

  • Lounge seating for relaxed, longer stays

  • Bar counter for quick turnover and high-margin sales

  • Clear sightlines across the space to enhance openness

Natural light from overhead glazing further enhances the premium daytime dining experience, while integrated lighting ensures ambiance at night.

Signature Design Elements

  • Skylight ceiling creating a bright, open atmosphere

  • Panoramic window design mimicking yacht architecture

  • Marble dining table with sculptural base

  • Integrated LED lighting for layered ambiance
